No mid-contract price rises for customers of Vfast Internet
Connectivity is key for families, communities and commerce. That’s why Vfast Internet is going for zero, to honour their customers—by bucking the price-increase trend to lock in contract prices with no escalations.
Canterbury, England – February 2023.
With inflation in the UK reaching a 40-year high, consumers are currently under severe pressure from soaring energy costs and rising food prices. With these things in mind, Vfast Internet reaffirms its commitment to lock in prices for all contracts, indefinitely. This means no mid-contract inflation-linked increases.
Citizens Advice recently calculated that more than 13 million mobile and broadband users could see monthly costs rise by as much as £100 from April. On the back of news that salary increases are unlikely to keep up, Britain’s best-loved independent connectivity brand is going for zero to honour their consumers.
“Too much to handle”
“These increases are just too much for people to handle,” says Vfast Internet MD, Rebecca Brown. “For most people the internet is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. Children use it for learning and discovery. And for some people it’s their only contact with family or to home deliveries for ecommerce. Which is why we’ve let our subscribers know that Vfast Internet will not be hiking its prices – full stop.”
While most ISPs ratchet up their prices mid-contract to keep pace with inflation, Vfast Internet has committed to bucking the trend, and bringing relief to cash-strapped consumers.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to invite our out-of-contract users to subscribe to one of our favourable contracts, if only for the perk of predictable pricing,” Brown says.
Martin Lewis, the money saving expert, suggests that many households are going to start looking elsewhere for better deals, advising subscribers that, if you are out of contract, “you can leave at any point penalty-free—and, given the best broadband and mobile deals tend to be for newbies, there's a good chance you're overpaying anyway... switch if you can get a cheaper deal.”
